Our research initiatives

The ITEM institute proposes a number of actions to help researchers, teacher-researchers, engineers, postdoctoral students, PhD students and its laboratories:

  • Support for key themes: energy transition, sustainable water and waste management, sustainable land use, biodiversity dynamics, green cities, multiple risks.
  • An annual “Transition in Action” call for projects to support integrated, innovative, interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research projects
  • One “Incubator” call for projects to test innovative research themes or concepts
  • Recruitment of PhD and postdoctoral students
  • Access to 10 state-of-the-art platforms and observatories

Lecturer HC, HDR, IMBE | PI of the ALCOVE project (AgricuLture bioContrôle biOfertilisant ViticolEs)
Thanks to financing from ITEM, I led the ALCOVE project, a significative step forward in our understanding of the impact of sustainable viticultural practices on the soil-vine continuum. Its success is based on a genuine synergy between environmental sciences (biotechnologies, chemistry, ecology and genotoxi-cology) and human sciences (psychosociology, geography). By being perfectly anchored in the socio-professional sphere, this project contributes to the adoption of new paradigms and new practices to meet the challenges of the Environmental Tra [...]
