Call for FIELD SCHOOLS projects
Field schools
Since 2020, the Mediterranean institute for environmental transition (ITEM) has been supporting excellence and professionalisation in training by funding Field Schools.
These field schools enable students to immerse themselves in the practicalities of the scientific approach, and are a great added value for career paths.
They provide students with rigorous, practical experience, enhancing their ability to grasp the complexity of the environmental issues facing our world. This experience is based on the following strategic priorities:
- Develop multidisciplinary skills, a real added value in the professional world,
- Develop scientific rigour and propose a cross-disciplinary approach to environmental transition by strengthening links with research
- Professionalise training courses by working with socio-economic players to promote a cross-disciplinary vision of the issues.
